An Easy New Year’s Resolution: Be Prepared In Case of Emergency (ICE)

As a first responder (I’m an EMT) for over 27 years I have heard, “If only I had….” or ” I wish I had wrote those [emergency info] down….” more times than I can remember. None of us want to have an emergency happen but the reality is: emergencies happen. Being prepared for an emergency is one of the best ways to help responders help you. In essence you become part of our team. ICEdot makes being prepared simple. Visit our web site, icedot.org and create an account. The FREE service allows you to print out a form and put it in your glovebox and the Premium service ($10/year) ensures that your information goes wherever you do.  You can register not only information about who you are, but also about your medications, allergies, medical conditions and most importantly your emergency contacts. No one wants to be alone in a crisis and think about it – will you really remember everything and who to call when you are in an emergency?  I can tell you from  experience, you won’t.
